Congratulations to the 241 competitors who raced in the windsurfing OBX-Wind long distance race on April 15th. Often going faster than the wind, these racers could hit top speeds close to that of a jet ski. The difference is that over the two hours of racing, the competitors saved perhaps more than 964 gallons of gasoline, which translates in 19,280 lbs. of carbon.
We applaud everyone’s effort in demonstrating how exhilarating speed does not require an engine, but only the miracle of wind.
